During the 1992 regular season, Elliott kicked 24 field goals in 35 attempts. That was good enough, along with 47 of 48 extra points made, to put the Cowboys in the playoffs (not to mention the triplets and their strength on defense!) Elliott would help kick the Cowboys through the playoffs and to the Super Bowl Championship that season, making 4 of 5 field goals and 14 of 15 extra point attempts.
In the fickle world of NFL kickers and their sometimes subjective longevity, Elliott would remain with the Cowboys for just one more season. In 1993, he was waived after missing two field goals in a loss to the Buffalo Bills in the second game of the season.
