The 6'10" center out of DePaul University played seven seasons in the BAA/NBA, all with the Minneapolis Lakers. His impact on the game was immediate. In his first three seasons, all Mikan did was lead the league in field goals, free throws and points scored, in each season.
Although he only played in the league for seven seasons, he amassed 10,156 points, and 3,544 field goals. His career points per game mark is 23.1 putting him at 22nd all-time.
Mikan was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1959.
