In three years at UConn, Hamilton put up some impressive numbers culminating in a National Championship.
- 2,036 points
- 19.8 ppg
- .426 field-goal %
His total points at Connecticut leave him second on the all-time list, behind only Chris Smith with 2,145. In his sophomore and junior years as a Husky, Rip averaged a steady 21.5 points per game in each season.
Hamilton was, of course, named the Most Outstanding Player of the 1999 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, and was twice the Big East Player of the Year.
