Number 27 goes to Mr. Caldwell Jones who played in both the ABA and NBA between 1973 and 1990.
Jones was selected in the second round of the 1973 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers out of Albany State University.
Jones had been playing in the ABA for the San Diego Conquistadors at the time of his selection by the 76ers. When the ABA and NBA merged in 1976, Jones would begin his stint in Philadelphia. For the 1976-77 NBA season, Jones shot a humongous .507 from the field, but his scoring totals were down from his ABA days.
Caldwell's strength in the NBA would be his rebounding and shot-blocking abilities. During his time spent in the NBA, Jones would pull down 7,663 boards, and block 1,517 shots. He would average 1.4 blocks per game with his time spent in Philadelphia, Houston, Chicago, Portland and San Antonio.
