NBA Athlete Number 26 - Kyle Korver

Number 26 is a two-handed stuff for Kyle Korver.  26 has not been worn as frequently as many other numbers and Korver, in my opinion, is the best NBA athlete to wear this jersey number, far and away. 

Korver was taken in the second round of the NBA draft by the New Jersey Nets.  The Nets sold his rights to the 76ers.  They should have kept those rights.  In just his second NBA season, Korver led the NBA in three-pointers with 226. 

His three-point total fell the following season to "just" 184 the following season.  His accuracy did not fall.  He improved in trey percentage from .405 to .420.  And one year later he led the NBA in free-throw percentage with a .914 mark. 

For his career to-date, spanning the 2003-04 to 2010-11 seasons with the 76ers, Jazz and Bulls, Korver has made the following marks.

• .431 field goal percentage
• .411 three point percentage
• 1,016 career three-pointers
• 5,778 career points
