The number 95 has not been a popular one as far as NHL jerseys are concerned. Aleksey Morozov wore the number for his entire NHL career however, and was the best to do so.
Morozov was taken in the first round of the 1995 NHL entry draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins. The right winger from the USSR would see his first action as a Penguin at the age of 20 during the 1997-98 season. In 76 rookie campaign games, Morozov would evenly split his goals and assists, with 13 each.
He would remain with the Penguins for his seven year NHL career, maintaining a fairly balanced production between goals and assists. For his regular season career, Morozov had 84 goals and 135 assists.
Did you know...............that Morozov had particular success against one goalie during his career: Martin Brodeur?
