Eric Fehr of the Washington Capitals, playing in the rain during the 2011 NHL Winter Classic, notched two goals in three shots, against the Pittsburgh Penguins to steal the spotlight and lead his team to a New Year's Day win in the Steel City on the same spot where the Pittsburgh Steelers will play in the NFL playoffs this year.

Fehr's performance helped the Capitals to win an important game, not only because it is the Winter Classic played in front of a world-wide audience, but also because it keeps Washington near the top of the Southeast Division in the NHL Eastern Conference.
