You know Glavine was a great MLB pitcher. But did you know that he was drafted by the Kings of the NHL in 1984? Yeah, he was. He's probably a really good golfer too. But that's not why he's listed here. He's listed here because he was the best MLB athlete to ever wear the number 47.
He is a Hall of Famer to be, and a member of the 300 win club. A career 3.54 ERA and 2,607 strikeouts over 22 seasons don't hurt either. He also led the National League in wins an impressive five times.
