The man taken third overall in the 1990 NFL Draft, Cortez Kennedy, is the best NFL athlete to ever wear the uniform number 96.
Kennedy was a stalwart at defensive tackle for the Seahawks after being taken by them out of the University of Miami. He was an eight time Pro Bowler and was the 1992 AP NFL Defensive player of the year (for a Seattle Seahawks team that went a collective 2 and 14).
During the regular season, over his NFL career, Kennedy had 668 tackles and 58 sacks.
