Elvin Bethea, Houston Oiler defensive end and Pro Football Hall of Famer, is the best NFL athlete to ever wear number 65.
Bethea, drafted by the Oilers out of NCA&T State University in 1968, played for Houston between the years 1968 and 1983. Some of Bethea's more impressive achievements are: 135 consecutive regular season games played, eight-time Pro Bowler, 105 career sacks (unofficially), and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee in 2003.
