A force at defensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, and San Diego Chargers, Neil Smith is the best professional athlete to ever wear the jersey number 90.
Selected second overall by the Chiefs in the 1988 NFL Draft out of the University of Nebraska, Smith played in only thirteen games, accumulating 2.5 sacks in his rookie year. His numbers dramatically increased from there. He recorded 7.5 sacks in his sophomore season, and 9.5 sacks one year later. Smith peaked in sack totals with 15 in 1993. All told, he went on to accumulate 105.5 sacks over a thirteen year career.
Smith played the majority of his NFL career wearing a Kansas City Chiefs' jersey, from 1988 to 1996. However, after departing K.C. for Denver in 1997, Smith became a member of a team that won two Super Bowls (XXXII and XXXIII.) He also played one year with the Chargers. He is most notably linked with the Chiefs, and has been inducted into their Hall of Fame as of 2006.
Did you know.....Smith is a co-owner of the Kansas City Brigade in the Arena Football League?

Mario Williams, Julios Peppers, Javon Kearse all better than Neil Smith
