We all know him now as Chris Berman's counterpart on ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown, but he also played in the NFL. The best professional athlete to don the number 57 is Thomas Jackson of Denver Bronco fame. Jackson, who is a member of the Bronocs Ring of Fame, was a three-time pro-bowler in his fourteen year career in Denver. Only John Elway has played more games in a Broncos uniform than Mr. Jackson. For an interesting look at Tom Jackson, check out this article from The News Tribune of Tacoma, WA.

57 = Johan Santana
ReplyDeletetom jackson is not comparable
He ain't even a good co-anchor! Tom Jackson is extra-super critical of black athletes! It is sickening! Tom, you are NOT God!! Stop judging the black players. You don't have to sell out just because you are Boomers co-host. By the way, Boomer is AWSOME!!!
ReplyDeleteDwight Stephenson of the Miami Dolphins is my choice. The best centre to ever play the game.
ReplyDelete57...tom thayer 1985 Bears.
ReplyDeleteFormer Saints LB Rickey Jackson wore 57 ... pretty sure he made more Pro-Bowls than Tom Jackson.
ReplyDeleteJOHAN!!!!!!!!! best pitcher of the 2000's!!!! 117-55 with a 3.12 ERA the numbers don't lie!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJackson is right. Just not Tom, but Rickey.

ReplyDeleteWHAT??? Seriously? This should be Dwight Stephenson or Clay Matthews (the dad who played for the Browns, not the son who currently plays for the Packers).
